Campaign Rules

1812: Napoleon’s Crescendo is a land and sea campaign that focuses on small unit actions that will be easily played out in one 2-4 hour sitting by 2 or more players.

Players can have as many Land (Lt Generals) and (Captains) for EACH of the nationalities involved as they want.

Battles fought will improve your commanders point value, but will also run the risk of being injured, captured or killed.

Commanders Injured or captured will have to sit out the next battle for their nationality while they are

recuperating/exchanged.

Actions at Sea will use Close Action rules for battles involving less than 4 ships per player. Wooden Ships and Iron Men if there is more ships involved. Naval Encounters will be generated by Privateers & Gentlemen.

        Actions on Land will use a number of systems, BUT none will involve more than a Regiment v Regiment battle and may be as small as Platoon v Platoon skirmishes.

Captains will start with just Flag Ships. All are 44 to 48points. As the Captain gains points his flagship will also improve in crew quality and he may begin to acquire a bigger ship as his points allow. All Captains start with 48 points. Captains reaching 100 points will be promoted to Commodore, and finally those reaching 125 or more will be Admirals.

Sea Specific Rules

All battles are on a fixed map unless otherwise stated/agreed upon at beginning of engagement.

Opponents must last a minimum of 6 game turns (20 game minutes) on the board for Victory points to be awarded
