Campaign Background

1812: Napoleon’s Crescendo is a conjectural campaign based on the premise that Napoleon decided to keep Carlos V (the pro Napoleon son of Carlos IV that lead the 1808 coup de ta) in power instead of arresting him and installing his brother Joseph on the thrown in Spain in 1808. This means Napoleon would have concentrated consolidating his power in the west instead of invading Russia in 1812. It also means he wouldn’t have stripped the rebuilding French navy of personnel and officers in 1813.
