The Newly re-unified German nation was looking for allies against the French, and ways to tied down allies of the French. The new German government offered to back the Mexican Cartel Corps if they needed help against the Americans and the Texans.

This has soured early relations for Germany with all three countries, even the Mexicans, who felt belittled by the Germans thinking the Corporate Cartels could be “Bought”.
