Operational Briefing

 

Operational Log: 11:00 GMT Thursday, April 4th 1940

After review of the Polish Resistance Agent report on the activity of the NAZI German Ahnenerbe and the "BLACK SUN" operatives, the leaders of "Delta Green” are convinced that action must be made IMMEDIATELY. The immediate transfer of the TEAM from their convalescence in Cape Cod after their ordeal in Finland is unfortunate but unavoidable.

The remaining sane team members are to be placed on a trans Atlantic flight by USN PBY to London. After the team lands at dawn in Thames on Friday they will head directly to Copenhagen Denmark.

The Mission:

Contact the Polish Foreign Ministry about  Transferring the "Book of Shadows Volume Three" to the Miskatonic University in Southern Massachusetts. This seems like a milk run acept the leadership of "Delta Green" think this mission is of the HIGHEST importance and must be completed IMMEDIATELY.

You’re Cover: You are members of the various organizations, Government and Private working on an academic project at the Miskatonic University in Southern Massachusetts.

You’re Objectives:       

1. Get the "Book of Shadows Volume Three".

2. Get back to Miskatonic University in Southern Massachusetts United States flying out AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

3. Team should do EVERYTHING possible to be out of  Denmark and back in Britain no later than Midnight Monday April 8th 1940 .

 

 

 

 

 
 
 

 

Operational De-Briefing

Operational Log: 18:00 LT Saturday, April 6th 1940

Alec Avery's team arrived in Copenhagen. Where able to get into the National archives just as it was closing and found that the book OF air "Book of Shadows Volume Three" WAS GONE. While searching the stacks Master Sgt. Nigel Barber (British SAS) found a gold ball sized sky blue sapphire gem. The Book had been take out on loan by a Mr Fenrir; A visiting Norwegian industrialist.

While in Copenhagen Sgt. William Joespeh "B.J." Blaskowiz meet up with the sister of his Warsaw love interest "Ariel"; "Inga", according to BJ, is a "Stunning Blonde". Woman of means (She rides around in a 1938 Rolls, and has a very large (and Ugly) driver. She helped the team get invitations and clothes to Mr. Fenrir's -party being held that night at Kronberg Castle for some "Business Rivals" of his that he wanted to make a truce with.

Operational Log: 20:00 LT Saturday, April 6th 1940

The team visits  Mr Fenrir's rented apartments in the embassy district but he is not home. An attempted break in is thwarted by the presence of a very large "Dog" hiding just out of sight from the window in the shadows around a corner. Master Sgt. Nigel  convinces the party to try again later after the party. 

Operational Log: 23:00 LT Saturday, April 6th 1940

Alec Avery's team arrived at Kronberg Castle too late for dinner BUT just in time for the Cultist god summoning, human sacrifice and Orgy. The Teams leaves early with the quick thinking on Master Sgt. Nigel part they escape.

Operational Log: 01:30 LT Sunday, April 7th 1940

Alec Avery's team arrived at Mr Fenrir's rented apartments in the embassy district fhoping he is still at the Cultist god summoning, human sacrifice and Orgy at Kronberg Castle. The Teams The team encounters the "Guard Dog"; Sgt. William Joespeh "B.J." Blaskowiz faints from the dog's bad breath BUT Alec Avery " Falls in Love " with the puppy. Master Sgt. Nigel keeps the beast at bay while they search the apartment rooms and find them rather empty of belongings. The team returns to the Mariot wher ethey are staying where Sgt. William Joespeh "B.J." Blaskowiz conveleses under Dr. Ben "Mel Brooks" Gudsolmen care and finally recovers at about 8 AM Monday Morning.

Operational Log: 13:30 LT Monday, April 8th 1940

Alec Avery's team finishes lunch brought up by room service and is awaiting aid from Inga when Sir Conrad Grey (The British Union of Fascists leader from NAZI WORLD 2009)  with his "Twins"; Deiter and Ether arrive to make a "Deal". They know the has an "item of power that keeps the Hounds at bay". They will trade the location of the book OF air "Book of Shadows Volume Three"  for the item. They give Alec Avery a map with the loaction of Mr Fenrir's Manor house in Norway. Ben "Mel Brooks" Gudsolmen gives them a golf ball.

Moments later Sgt. William Joespeh "B.J." Blaskowiz heads down stairs to await Inga's Driver who is bringing them some "Ammo". Instead of Inga's Rolls , a big Mercedes Benz pulls up and Eva Falstaff gets out with two of her new TOTENKOFF body guards.

Eva tells BJ that she has had there Hotel room buged (Nobody checked, very sloppy Avery!)

She wants the map to the Mr. Fenrir's Manor house.

In the Insuling Struggle Inga's Rolls arrives, and Her Driver saves BJ's life, BUT dies as the TOTENKOFF body guards MP40 SMGs cut him in half. The TOTENKOFF body guards then "die" (?)  from being hit by a sofa flung  on top of them from the 6th floor of the Hotel.

Operational Log: 23:30 LT Monday, April 8th 1940

Alec Avery's team Takes Inga's Rolls to the air port and catches the Private Boeing 247 sent to them by Delta Green/MI6. They fly for Norway in the black moonless night sky...

On board is Nathan Chance and a few new members for Alec Avery's team along with a full cargo hold of gear for the mission.

Operational Log: 03:15 LT Tuesday, April 9th 1940

Alec Avery's team is mostly asleep at sunrise after a lengthy story about the history of this particular plane and the 1933-34 Shackleton expedition to the South Pole. As the Delta Green Boeing 247 nears Narvik the few that are awake witness two German Me 110 long range Fighter-Destroyer aircraft fly up from behind their Boeing and strafe them from both sides. No one on the team is injured but the Boeing 247’s Pilot and co-pilot are killed.

After the German Me 110 long range Fighter-Destroyers make a second pass the Boeing 247 is in flames and disintegrating quickly. Sargent Killarney hands out parachutes as per Lt Nigel Barber’s orders and the team escapes the plummeting plane.

Having landed safely in the mountainous woods south of Narvik, Lt Nigel Barber and his trusty batman Sargent Killarney spend the next 18 hours rounding up Alec Avery's team. They then start makes their way through the woods looking for the nearest road to town.

 

 

Operational Log: 23:15 LT Tuesday, April 9th 1940

Just after sunset Sgt. William Joespeh "B.J." Blaskowiz sights tow German Ju 52 tranport planes dropping 23 parachutes into the twilight forest.

   The team finally finds a roughly trail through the woods and starts following it. Minutes later they hear the sound of motor cycles and they clear off the road back into the woods. Next they hear the blaring of a hunting horn and the yapping of rabid dogs. Five German BMW R75 motorcycles with scout cars drive past down the road followed by a pack of big rabid looking blue wolves.

   Sgt. William Joespeh, "B.J." Blaskowiz Lt Nigel Barber and Sargent Killarney confer with mission team leader Alec Avery' and they decide it may be safer to get off this road and take a short cut through the woods into town.

 

 

 

 

Operational Log: 23:25 Tuesday, April 9th 1940

Alec Avery's Team enters a clearing with a medieval looking three turreted three story castle. The night sky has darkened considerably and its start to rain with lots of thunder and lightning.

   Tabitha Wright goes to the front door and knocks. Its then that the team notices, in a flash of lightning, the five German Motorcycles parked on the side of the castle.

The door is opened by the Castle’s caretaker Tyr (pronounced “Tear”). He invites the team in and offers them a place by the fire to dry off. He then gives them a tour of the castle.

Operational Log: 03:00 Wednesday April 10th

Alec Avery's Team spends these three hours exploring the castle, meeting the other guests and having a “CRAZY” time. They exit the castle at 3am leaving Tabitha Wright behind to retrieve the "Book of Shadows Volume Three" from one of the castle’s “Guests”. The castle disappears in the morning mist.

 

Operational Log April 10th to April 1940

Alec Avery's Team joins the fight at Narvik. The German force that took Narvik on April 9th consisted of 10 Kriegsmarine destroyers which landed the 2,000 mountain infantry after sinking the Norwegian armoured coastal defence ships Norge and Eidsvold. The German’s were then reinforced with a unit of German paratroopers (Fallschirmjäger).

   On April 13th a British naval counter-attack by the old battleship HMS Warspite and a flotilla of destroyers succeeded in sinking all the German destroyers and retrieving Alec Avery's Team. Alec Avery's Team returns to London with one of the damaged British Destroyers sent back to Britain for repairs.
