EPISODE TWO : A Tower in London

Scene One: The Savoy Hotel

Upon returning to their Hotel Suite in Bombay they Receive word from the Free British Resistance that “M” is still alive and being held in London. The American Embassy in London has been reopened since the end of hostilities in Britain and has received and invite to the Nazi-Soviet Friendship Celebration at the end of October. OSS and Delta Green needs your team back in NYC no later than October 25^th.

The Team leaves Bombay on the Free New Zealand T.S.S. Monowai bound for Sydney.

It Arrives at Sydney three weeks later.

The Team takes the ANZAC Clipper, A Boeing 314 Flying Boat from Sydney to San Francisco (Via New Caledonia, Noumea, Fiji, Suva, Honolulu) Arriving 6 days later.

From San Francisco the team takes a train to Chicago and then another to NYC arriving 6 days after that to catch a flight to London on the new Lufthansa Fouke Wolf Super Condor Airliner: Fw300.

It departs at 6am on Sunday and arrives (after a 9 hour flight) at 6pm.

The team has just enough time to check into their suite of rooms at the London Savoy and get down stairs for the opening gala in the Grand Ball room. Its 13 days of parties for the Nazi-Soviet Friendship Celebrations; October 26^th to November 7^th being held in London.

The Team is exhausted after 34 days of travel but makes it down stairs for the opening ceremonies.

A “Black Tie” affair..

1)             The Red Army took a beating in the Finish Winter War of 39-40 and wants a rematch.

2)             USSR and the Empire of Japan had an “Undeclared” 7 yearlong border war from 1932 to 39 that ended with a secret Soviet Japanese Neutrality Pact this past summer. Stalin is trying to get a new similar deal with the AXIS in Europe.

3)             Stalin maybe trying to get a new peace deal from the Germans now, but he is planning on invading Eastern Europe in 42 or 43.

Drinking and polite conversation goes to about 11pm when Weisler, Kellerman and Walpurgen ask (command) the room to be sealed so they can start the “Halloween Ceremony” by pulling back the curtain on the Bar’s small stage.

November 3 (Monday) Red Borsch Blow Out

Lots of Vodka, drunken Germans and Russians.

The team returns to the Savoy as the Germans impose martial law and shut down the city. As they enter they receive an urgent coded message at the front desk. Captain Chance quickly deciphers it.

American and Free Britsih commandos are raiding a german Atomic lab at Bringle sands. The OSS wants your help capturing equipment and scientists there before the Germans can defend it. This is your "Extraction" point. Get there tonight by Midnight.

The team now had a Choice:

Go with the US ranger and Free Brstish commandos take the Atomic Lab  at Bringle Sands and help slow the Germans in building an Atom bomb.

A “Black tie Affair” at the Savoy. Lots of high ranking members of the AXIS and the Soviet Union are present. Many Foreign Diplomats as well for all over the world. Lots of expensive champagne, fishy cavalier and even more “Fishy” rumors.

1.   1. General Erin Rommel of Panzer Group Africa: State of the War? Hitler is looking for peace in Europe, Speer is having a positive effect on him on the matter at least, but the NAZI’s are doing “Strange Things” to people in those camps in Poland. Real?

2.  2. Reich Foreign Minister Ulrich Ribbentrop: “We are not mistreating all those Jews we are sending to Poland. We are just keeping them there until we can safely ship them to Vichy Madagascar next year”. Fake?

3.  3. General Giueppse De Stefanis of XX Corps Italy: Italy will be invading the Sinai and going all the way to India in January, with the help of their German allies and their new Panzer Army Asia. True?

4.  4. Joseph P. Kennedy, American Ambassador to the BUF: “I’ve been assured by Hitler himself that his “Tomorrow the World” Speech last year didn’t included the Americas."  False?

5.  5. Scotland Yard Superintendent Archer: “The two occupying forces in Britain are the German Heer and the Nazi SS. They would much rather fight each other than fight us.” True?

1)             The Moskva is actually a Flying Steel battlecruiser and NOT a “Lighter than airship” like Zeppelins.

2)             A British colonel was handed over last night in a deal acquiring Russian help for the Germans in developing their own “Sky-Furnace”.

October 31 (Friday) Kriegsmarine

The German Navy (Kriegsmarine) and their ally the BUFN (British Union of Fascists Navy) shows off is newest and best Equipment. On display:

Captain Reinhard Hardegen is more than happy to talk to the team, while his BUFN counterpart looks at the group in distain. He Offers the Team a Tour.  U-boat he will talk freely about the Kriegsmarine’s new U-Boats once onboard his U-Boat the U-112. There are Two “Experimental” U-boats being used for the basis of two new Classes of Super Submarines; The U-792 a Type XVII (a small coastal submarine) will be the basis for the new Type XXIIIs a small defensive submarine, and the larger U-1405, a Type XIX  will be the basis for the new Type XXIs an ocean going super U-boat.

The “Halloween Ceremony”

The rest of the party goers are seated with bottles of their favorite drinks at their tables then the Savoy staff is escorted out by Walpurgen’s “Totencoffs” who then lock the doors. Several of the audience appear very nervous as they look around the room. The lights are dimmed and Weisler, Kellerman and Walpurgen don some robes with the Black Sun symbol on them and start the ceremony on the stage by lighting 3 braziers that burn a bright but near smokeless flames.

The stage is now fully lit, and the team can see details. There is a waist high Altar with 3 coffins arranged side by side on it. On each coffin there is a Brazier. The fames burn White, Blue and Red.  Weisler, Kellerman and Walpurgen are in. They Chant for a few minutes then while chanting, Weisler produces a large dagger (Short Sword) and Stabs the coffin with the white Flame. There is a muffled scream. Smoke floods up to the ceiling and swirls into a glowing picture.

The White Vision: The glowing smoke displays a black and white view of a bunker with men in German winter uniforms and heavy goggles on their faces. The bunker looks out on a Twilight Fjord covered in tress and snow. There are maps on the wall of northern Norway, and a Calendar which is set at October 1945.  There is a flash in the distance at the Fjord and then as the light evens out a huge glooming mushroom cloud is seen over the Fjord.

Kellerman produces a large dagger (Short Sword) and Stabs the coffin with the Blue Flame. There is a muffled scream. Smoke floods up to the ceiling and swirls into a glowing picture.

The Blue Vision: The glowing smoke displays a vision of black and blue shades. The view of a bunker with men in American summer uniforms and heavy goggles on their faces. The bunker looks out of a Twilight Desert Scene covered in cactus, sand and rocks. There are maps on the wall that show an area between Alamogordo and Los Alamos New Mexico. A Calendar on the wall is set at July 1947.  There is a flash in the distance in the Desert and then as the light evens out a huge glooming mushroom cloud is seen over the Desert.

The Red Vision: The glowing smoke displays a black and Red view of a bunker with men in Soviet uniforms and heavy goggles on their faces. The bunker looks out on a steppe land covered in tall grasses. There are maps on the wall with the name Semipalatinsk Siberias on them. Calendar on the wall is set at August 1949.  There is a flash in the distance and then as the light evens out a huge glowing mushroom cloud is seen over the burning grass lands.

The Vision Fades

The Chanting stops. There is silence for a few minutes.

“What does that mean?” Reichsfuher Heinrich Himmler asks getting up from his chair.

“Its means my Reichsfuher,” replied Dr. Reinhardt Weisler stepping forward on the stage, “that we will have the Atom bomb first and we will rule the world!”

The Germans in the room stand up now with Himmler and applaud while the members of the other national delegations look on in stunned silence.

       Scene Three: The Ace of Spades, King of Clubs or the Queen of Hearts?

November 4 (Tuesday) Karl Marx Exhumation Ceremony Itinerary:

12Noon Parade through North London the Airship docks on the Thames.

       3pm Marx’s Ascension to the CCCP Moskva

       8pm Dinner party and Private Gala on the CCCP Moskva for the Nazi and Soviet Elite.

[Highgate Cemetery looked a lot like a Hollywood Horror film set. Overgrown by sooty trees and bushes, strangled by weeds, its narrow paths lined with ancient tombstones leaning at all angles and pocked with mold and moss.  Not even with the large observation stand just behind the Marx’s grave and the red Nazi and Soviet flags draped over every mausoleum could lessen the feeling that here was the location for a remake of ‘Frankenstein’.]

As the team watches the Coffin being raised out of the ground, a young woman passes Commander Mactaggart a note:

1.  The King has escaped the Tower of London. We need your help tonight to get him out of occupied Britain.

2.  GET DOWN NOW!

 The coffin is Bobbie trapped with explosives. Many of the Nazi and Soviet Elites are killed as the coffin explodes as it is lifted out of the ground including The SS-SD’s head nuclear scientist and the Head of the Nazi SA “Brown Shirts”.
