The Objective is Kill/Protect the Taiwanese President : 50,000 Exp

HILTON TAIPEI SINBAN

[I am sitting with  Major Ju Lon by the pool in the Hilton Taipei Sinban Tower. ]

I start my next set of  questions with a dramatic one, “What was Taiwan's darkest hour, do you think Major?” I asked.

It was the first hour of the third day of the war. Will were low on planes, pilots missiles, the army was even reporting shortages of bullets. The Promised American, Australian, Japanese forces had not arrived yet, and the PLA started dropping paratroopers on Taipei."

[Red China's PLA had a Special Operations Force of Paratroopers known as OSCAR or SOF OSCAR; through a combination of spy work and bribery, the PLA knew the exact location of the Taiwanese leadership and launched a paratrooper assault on Taipei to decapitate the Taiwanese government to get the Islands resistance to collapse.]

At first we thought the PLA was using its entire paratrooper force against us. It made sense. Their marine forces were tied up on our beaches and they still couldn't do a day light airdrop cause our air force still had planes and missiles going up in the air.

What we didn't realize was that the vast majority of their paratrooper forces were tied up in the South China Sea dealing with the Vietnamese. Seems the Vietnamese learned the lesson of 1979 all too well while the PLA which spent so much time copying the American and Russian hardware, they didn't take into account the "Force Multiplier" of having friends. President Xi spend the last 18 months antagonizing all of Red China's neighbors while the Free nations like us and the United States worked on improving our relationships with them. Even the Vietnamese who were cynical about seeing support from the West, were happy to see the Americans and the rest join in even without an UN mandate.

“Yes, Russian President Vladimir Putin blocked that in the UN, but they he did little else, and left the Red Chinese hanging as the USSR had done with the Vietnamese in 1979. Even Kim in North Korea decided to sit this one out.”

True, we were worried about that too, but Kim was busy with a bad famine, and the Red Chinese raiding 99% of their fisheries over the last few years, as I said earlier Red China had no "True" friends.

Russia did send mercenaries, planes and pilots to the Reds,  and just enough rhetoric to keep Xi happy. Putin was also busy dealing with his failed "Sputnik" vaccine. He never did get the air tight media clamp on the Russian people they way Xi had over the mainland Chinese. The Russian feelings to the mainland Chinese still is pretty bad from the COVID plague. Vlad would have had an all out uprising on his hands if he had done more.

At the time, in those early morning hours, that's the closest I think the Reds came to winning the war.

“Do you think if OSCAR had succeeded Xi would have won the War?”

Oh yes. It would have given him Taiwan, we still would have been fighting to this day, but he could have declared victory. He could have used it to keep the rest of the mainland in line instead of it breaking into three parts as it did when they lost over the next few months. That's the thing with dictators, when they are winning or at least everyone thinks they are winning the people think they are great, but when they lose and lose BIG, the people have only one person to blame, and there is only so much cracking down the secret police can do when things get really bad. Just look at Russia in 1917...

“I understand the fire fight for the Hilton Tower lasted less than an hour with over 90% causalities on the Taiwanese forces, and the PLA paratroopers fought to the death. What was that 60 minutes like?”

A total blood bath... much of it in a swimming pool.
