[I am sitting with Captain Larry Brit of the F35C squadron VX-23 the "Salty Dogs" based on the  USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN-72). You were the leading squadron to fly into and help liberate the islands in the South China Sea. What was it like coordinating the naval aviators from 7 different nations against the Chinese Carrier Fleet?  ]

“We were part of the 2nd Fleet then assigned to the Persian Gulf during the "Iranian Speed Boat Incidents of 21". So we have had plenty of experience coordinating with our allies. When the PLAN blew up the those Indian oil rigs, the INDIA declared war. Xi should not have been surprised, not after all those Indian deaths from COVID19 and the boarder skirmishes near Nepal. Xi should have known INDIA would join the fight.”

[“Yes, the NEWS media call it Xi's Persian Play. He didn't expect inciting an angry response for a United Europe did he?”]

“Again Xi should  have saw this coming. I guess he felt that Trump had ruined the NATO nations option of the USA that they would turn their back on a member nation. In reality the Europeans hated Trump but the smart ones in charge know he was just a blimp in the history books, all Democracies have them. Xi and his PRC never really had any really close allies so I guess you could say that's how he misread things. What he should have realized, Anti American feelings in Europe or not, the USA and the Europeans ARE Democracies and they have a lot more in common with us than they EVER would with a dictatorship like the PRC. Plus there is the fact of why we were in the Persian Gulf in the first place. The USA hasn't been a big user of Arab oil for decades, we get all we need from ourselves , Canada and maybe Venezuela. The oil from the Persian Gulf goes to two places, Asia and Europe. We maintain a carrier or two in the Gulf to protect our NATO allies, and THEY KNOW IT.

“It's what allies do. Not that the PRC ever had any real allies. Kim in North Korea was mysterious sick the entire time. As for Putin, well he was more than happy to sell them more planes and pilots...for a PRICE...
