The Lion of AS Sukhnah
Lt AL Dariq and his platoon of now 26 men (5 decided not to "desert") headed west on M20 then as night fell they went off road to the south of As Sukhnah .
They entered a series of wadies and around midnight noted gunfire from the next wadie over from where they were traveling in.
They discovered a large group of ISIS fighters attacking a tour bus that was traveling up the Wadie to the north.
Lt AL Dariq and his platoon engaged the ISIS fighters and defeated them. They then introduced themselves to the occupants of the Tour Bus; one DJ Mustafa.
They then joined Mustafa as they headed up the wadie, under M20 to the remote plateau community of AL'KAwm...
