The Helius Liberation Fleet arrives at the edge of the Snailarian Star System. They send in their stealth Recon Task Force.

 Reconnaissance of the system revield that the KETT have the defnse of the System is divided into 10 groups. 8 on or around the Snailarian Home world, one on patrol watching the rest of the Star System, and one last group which is only mentioned in comms, location unknown.

The Liberation fleet's RECON TASK force, tripped one and were intercepted by

2 KETT Battle Cruisers and 200 KETT Interceptor Star Fighters.

Combat lasted less than 18 minutes, but in which time the KETT lost 100

 Interceptor Star fighters, but were able to get a good survey of the

 invading Helius Fleet before jumping back out into FTL.

The Helius Alliance RECON Force lost 12 Demon SX4 Star Fighter and two

HELIUS Class Cruisers.

Summary: Hostile technologically advanced armored crablike bipeds that invaded the Helues Cluster in 2744.

Ousted by the HNA (Heleus NEXUS Alliance) in 2820.

Summary: Exaltation unified the Kett home world of Sarhesen, and in time the other worlds that the Kett empire conquered. The Kett are not native to the Heleus Cluster, which they call Sector 1-19-NYKZ, and began invading it in 2744.  The Kett have conquered over a dozen species, and the Empire at its height in 2790 controlled 22 Star Sectors radiating out from their Home Sector where Sarhesen is located, Sector 1-1-AAAA.

The Kett Empire encountered its first real obstacle in 2789, when they encountered the Vargr Republic and their Allies the Stewards of the PACT WORLDS on the borders of Sector 4-18-FRNP. The Vargr having received several Eealer refugees from the Kett Empire were ready for the Kett’s mis-information campaign when they first encountered them and the border between the two Star Nations quickly became a “Hot” Neutral Zone.

This was the first time Kett ever encountered a Stellar nation that could challenge them, and to make things worse they were fully aware of their exaltation practices so their usual diplomatic ruses wouldn’t work. The Senate saw the treat and began preparation for an all-out war. Before the Kett Empire could fully mobilize however the Kett were hit with an all-out invasion on the opposite side of their Empire in 2791 with the Arrival of the SWARM.

 By the time the SWARM was pacified in 2821, the Kett empire had lost 6 Star Sectors, five to the SWARM and one far flung outpost Sector on the other side of “DEAD SPACE” to interlopers from the MWG (Milky Way Galaxy) in the Heleus Cluster Sector 1-19-NYKZ. The Empire currently controls 16 Star Sectors.

As of this year 2823, the Kett Empire has been rebuilding is military after 3 decades of warfare with the SWARM, and the Senate is once again looking to Sector 4-18-FRNP as their pathway to their next conquests.

Of the species conquered only 5 are known in any detail.

Angara - are the only known extant sapient race native to the Heleus Cluster of the Andromeda galaxy. By the time of the Andromeda Initiative’s first contact with them, the Angara had been waging a decades-long resistance against the invading Kett, which has left their population a tenth of what it was before the Kett arrived in 2744. Without the timely intervention of the MWG Andromeda Intuitive the majority of Alliance scholars believed the Kett would have harvested the Angara into extinction over the next 2 decades like they did the Eealer.

Eealer- One of the Kett vassal races, the Eelaen are a race that has been exalted past viable population. They now have become nomads who document and share knowledge.

Sirinde- One of the Kett vassal races, the Sirinde, which possibly translates as "eat their dead with reverence", have genetically poisoned themselves to stop exaltation, now have become dependent on Kett neuroscience to survive.

Thusali- One of the Kett vassal races, the Thusali once worshiped the Remnant. It was discoveries on their worlds that lead the Kett to the Angara.

Snailarians- One of the Kett vassal races, the Snailarians are by their very nature “Unexaltatable”. The Kett Senate decided to spare the race for three reasons, one their biology allows them to survive many toxic environments with little protection (See Rachni in MWG for similarities), two they have a high aptitude for mechanical engineering which also makes them very useful slaves, and the main reason is that they are, to the Kett not only edible but very tasty.  (Note resistance fighter Chembies is a Snailarian).

Summary: While exaltation of other races is the goal of the Kett, their empire is set up as a Eugenocracy. A Senate consisting of 21 members representing the 21 ancestral lineages of Pure Kett governs the Empire.

All Sectors must report into the senate for status review every 15 Kett Cycles (days? Weeks?)
