Chapter Eight: Iberian Game of Thrones Played out September 9th through September 23rd 2023 at GEEK FORTRESS Background: Time to go west.. Tuesday morning July 27th, 1453 After spending two weeks to recover and prepare for the next step in the quest. Cleric Sister Teresa, and the Paladin Stephanie of Danzig, decide to stay behind. Sister Teresa to care for the one infant child they did save from the Fey-Hags, and Stephanie of Danzig, After training Murrag to the 1st level of being a Paladin, she will return to Danzig to defend her city from the dragons. The "Flying Blue Fish" leaves Urquhart castle to head first south to Spain, and then to sail west into the unknown... The Players Quest: find and take possession of as many of the "Thirteen Artifacts" Tiamat relieved to the party member Velez in Constantinople. Without all thirteen artifacts, Tiamat 's plan to capture the Platinum Dragon Bahamut will fail. Before leaving Scotland, the players are told two pieces of information that may help them in their travels. 1.The Iberian Peninsula has been in the grips of a three-way war since 1428 for control of the peninsula. Kingdoms of Castille Kingdom of Portugal Emirate of Granada 2.A famous explorer named Prince Henry the Navigator of Portugal may be able to help the team find these "Mythical" lands to the west. Enter the Players Noon on Thursday August 12th, 1453 After flying down from Scotland, the players on the Flying Blue Fish are intercepted by a Red Dragon Air Patrol over the Kingdom of Castilian.... While in combat the Flying Blue Fish is set on fire, and BoomBox the Bard is captured by the Dragon riders. The rest of the team save the Flying Blue Fish and land in Portugal at The Royal Palace of Castilo de Almouro. There are several Large Blue Dragons present BUT they team plays it cool and gains an audience with the King of Portugal. They spend the rest of the day re stocking the airships and learning much from their hosts including a Blue Dragon in human form. She seems willingto help the team if they do something for her and her "King" (more like pawn) in return. The team also learns more about the... Tiamat is having one of her "Generals" back each of the kingdoms in a game with live pieces to see who can take control of the Iberian Peninsula. It appears that Tiamat has someone else both the team and the Portuguese want; Prince Henry the Navigator. Saphira, the Blue Dragon backing King Alfonso of Portugal, uses a Dragon Sphere (Similar to the one they team have covered on their ship) to find that in just he last few hours BoomBox the Bard has been transfer to the Emirate of Granada in a prisoner exchange. He is now being held in the Dungeons of a castle just SW of Granada; Castle Alhambra, a sprawling fortress complex build on top of a wooded mesa.
The Deal... Alfonso and Saphira agree to help the team with both their navigation to the west and rescuing BoomBox the Bard if they can help release Prince Henry the Navigator, who is being held at the "House of Dragons" in Ceuta, North Africa. Dinner at Alhambra Saturday night. By using stealth, and some very smooth talking the team not only rescues Boombox, but also save 5 Spanish maidens that were about to be "Trafficked" to North Africa. They also capture an Templar/Illuminate assassin as he was escaping with the "Apple of Eden" (a magic device of unknown purpose) .... Off to the House of Dragons and North Africa. After flying down from Granada, the players land in the Flying Blue Fish at the port city of Ceuta to rescue Prince Henry the Navigator...
